Comment:
Fortunately, the tremor from the limbs cancelled itself in lead 2152. The frequency of the tremor, approximately 5/sec (like atrial flutter), suggests Parkinsonâs disease. True flutter would of course have more uniform F waves.
Lead 2, often criticised in this Volume, redeems itself in this trace.
214. 18 year old girl who walked into her GPâs surgery stating chest discomfort and family history of heart disease before collapsing in VF. Following defibrillation, all the routine investigations (echocardiogram, lung scan, ABGs, etc) were normal - except for the ECG shown below.
