Somatic 5/sec tremor consistent with Parkinson’s disease

Comment:

Atrial flutter has the same rate – 300/min – as the extrapyramidal tremor of parkinsonism. In this trace, lead 3, neutral with respect to tremor, establishes the diagnosis of sinus rhythm there and, by inference, elsewhere.

A ‘clean’ ECG, taken a week earlier, is shown below (Fig 160a).
