Unlikely Early Repolarisation
Report:
Sinus rhythm 78/min
Anterior infarction/ischæmia
Comment:
The computer reported the trace as normal, apart from âprobable early repolarisation patternâ. The reciprocal ST segment depression in the inferior leads was ignored. The ECG was repeated in 17 minutes (Fig 58a) and the patient sped to CCU.
She had elective PTCA and stent to LAD artery three months later. Women tend to get less urgent stenting in this setting, for reasons known, perhaps, only to feminists.
58a. The âlateralâ leadfs are more often involved with anteroseptal than with anterolateral leads.
59. 41 year old man with chest pain.
